Thanksgiving Donations List!

Taco Lovers,

*UPDATE* Donations can be dropped off from now until Tuesday, November 25th at the Tacopocalypse location, 407 East 5th Street, Des Moines, IA. We are also taking online monetary donations through Dwolla. Thank you!

As we announced a few days ago, we will be serving Thanksgiving meals for the 300+ clients and staff of CISS again this year. We were afforded the last minute opportunity last year to provide dinner at the shelter when another local restaurant decided they did not want to participate. The response from both the public and the clients was so overwhelmingly great that we decided on the spot to make this our yearly tradition, and thanks to clients’ requests, we will providing lunch in addition to dinner this year.

Donations of food items and money are being taken to offset costs of preparation/serving/transportation, etc, and we use the food items provided to make food on par with our regular Tacopocalypse fare. All proceeds and leftover food donations will be donated to the Food Bank Of Iowa and CISS.

With all that being said, here is our list of suggested food donations. You are not limited to the items on this list, we will find a home for anything donated. If you know us, you know we like our wild card ingredients! Thank you in advance for any help you can provide, it means a lot to us and to those who are in need of a little good eats and company this holiday season!
