*UPDATE: we are at max plus on all meats, we have updated the list below to reflect the current needs. We will still accept any donations, though.
Tacopocalypse, along with the YPC and Krunkwich Ramen House, is once again providing Thanksgiving meals for the 300+ clients at CISS, Central Iowa Shelter and Services, and you can help make it another big year of giving for the holiday. How can you help? We are taking donations from today until November 24th, 2015 of food and cash/checks to help feed the shelter. This year we will be donating all goods and money left from the meal preparation directly to the CISS meals program, where they provide over 600 meals every day for those in need.
Our volunteer crew is just about full, you can direct any volunteer requests to [email protected]. We have a few spots open for various jobs throughout the week, not just Thanksgiving day, but as stated most of them are spoke for from past volunteers. If you are a past volunteer, please get in touch.
Donations can be dropped off at Tacopocalypse (407 East 5th St, Des Moines 50309) or Krunkwich Ramen House (621 Des Moines St, Des Moines 50309). Monetary donations can be dropped off at either location or sent to Tacopocalypse at the previously mentioned address. What do we need for donations? I’m glad you asked.
